Seeking: U1 Members for Subcommittee

We're seeking several Unit 1 members devoted to promoting equity, each representing one of the Equity Funds on the Unit 1 Equity Funds Subcommittee.

Members must be able to commit to attending a meeting every month from September to August to vote on anonymous applications. This is a unique opportunity to promote equity within the Local and assist your fellow members.

To qualify, applicants must identify as members of the constituencies represented by the funds:

• Anti-Racism Racialized Workers Fund (ARRWF)

• International Workers Legal Fund (IWLF)

• Domestic and Sexual Violence Survivors Fund (SF)

• Trans Fund (TF)

The Unit 1 EF Subcommittee is chaired by the Local’s Equity Officer and will also consist of the Local’s Unit 1 Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer (or designate), President (or designate), and Unit 1 members. While there are no set hours, the honorarium for each position is calculated at 13.13 hours/year at the SGS-II rate (estimated to be approximately $600 to $700, paid at the end of the fund year). We will keep running calls for these positions until they have been filled.
