Transit Penalty Update

The University of Toronto has neglected to deliver the $1 Million penalty for failing to deliver a 45% transit discount as outlined in the collective agreement.

As of October, this is 8 months after the January 1st deadline, and 4 months after the May 15 payout timeline. Without this money, the approved disbursement of these funds to the Unit 1 membership cannot be completed.

Your CUPE 3902 Executive Committee filed a policy grievance against the Employer as of Friday, October 3.

To support this action, we are circulating a petition demanding that the Employer immediately deliver the $1 Million Transit penalty to CUPE 3902 so it can be redistributed to the membership without delay.
