Unit 1 Fund Updates

Updates for Unit 1 Funds:

• Student Workers Assistance Fund (SWAF) Group A & B

• Childcare Financial Assistance Fund (CFAF)

• Undergraduate Student Workers Fund (USWF)

As our Funds Administrator is currently on leave until January, several members of the Executive Committee are making efforts to cover tasks involved in the processing and disbursement of the SWAF, CFAF and USWF.

Since our office closes on December 19; if you have not received a notification of your application results by then, you will receive results throughout January.

Funds will be disbursed via cheque through mail, or in-person pickup at the CUPE 3902 office once ready.

Please note that SWAF must be the last the last fund disbursed each year, as the SWAF consists of the remaining monies in the Unit 1 Employee Financial Assistance Funds after all other Unit 1 funds have been disbursed. This is to ensure that Unit 1 SWAF applicants receive the most they possibly can from this fund.
The SWAF monetary allotment varies year-to-year, so we are unable to confirm how much you will receive at this time.
