Apply to join the 2027 Budget Subcommittee!
The Budget Subcommittee will plan the budget for the upcoming fiscal year which facilitates the work of the Local. We're looking for three members to sit on the Budget Subcommittee.
The work of drafting the 2027-2028 budget is anticipated to take three to seven 1-2 hours meetings and will occur between January and March 2027, with meetings to be scheduled based on committee members' availability. Members of the Budget Subcommittee (excluding Executive Committee members) are entitled to an honorarium of 8.75 hours at the TA rate per year, payable upon adoption of the budget at the Local's Annual General Meeting.
To apply, please submit a short statement (maximum 300 words) on why you would like to join the Local's Budget Subcommittee and any past experience you believe to be relevant to the role. Applications should be submitted to the Local's Secretary-Treasurer at st@cupe3902.org. Please include on your statement your full name and bargaining unit. Email subject lines should include "Budget Subcommittee Application" and your name. The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, November 25th, 2026.
All applications will be reviewed by the Local's Executive Committee, who will approve the members to serve on the subcommittee.
