Join the Professional Development Joint Working Group!
During this round of bargaining, we fought for a pilot project in support of professional development for advanced Sessional Lecturers, Writing Instructors, and Applied Music Sessionals.
The funding for this pilot project will be a total of $75,000 for the term of the 2024-2027 Collective Agreement.
The Union and University agreed to establish a Joint Working Group consisting of four representatives each to develop recommendations for this pilot project and the use of this funding. The Joint Working Group will provide recommendations to the Vice President, People Strategy no later than December 31, 2025.To be considered for being a representative on this Joint Working Group behalf of Unit 3 members, the criteria is the following:
Be an advanced Sessional Lecturer, Writing Instructor, or Applied Music Sessional in Unit 3
Have an interest in improving professional development opportunities for Unit 3 members
Be willing to work collaboratively
Be available to attend working group meetings from September 2025 until mid-December 2025
Be a CUPE 3902 member in good standing for the duration of the working group
