Title: Topics in Biological Chemistry

Course Description: Advanced topics in biological chemistry will be covered at a modern research level.

Hours of Work: 130
Estimated TA Support: Appropriate TA support consistent with enrolment will be provided
Class Schedule: Lecture Thursdays 15:00 p.m. – 18:00 p.m.
Estimated Enrolment: Approximately 20
Duties: Preparation of lectures, lecturing, creation of exams and term tests , marking, marks management, supervision of TA(s).
Qualifications: PhD. in Chemistry
Note: Hiring Criteria includes, but is not limited to, emphasis on teaching excellence, ability to teach course material, academic qualifications, and past teaching experience. Preference in hiring will be given to current University of Toronto students pursuant to Article 14 of the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Pay Rates are in accordance with Article 21 CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Decisions for appointments are usually made a few weeks before the start of each semester.
Final availability of positions is contingent upon course enrolment numbers and budgetary considerations. Hiring will be governed by the regulations outline the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.

Salary: The Sessional Lecturer I rate of pay will be $6,275 for a half course (F or S) inclusive of vacation pay. Sessional Lecturer II rate of pay will be $6,775.00 for a half course (F or S) inclusive of vacation pay.
Sessional Dates:
- F courses: September 1 -- December 31, 2007
- S courses: January 1 -- April 30, 2008
