MUS4810H Seminar in Performance Literature - Percussion
Course Description:
The course will examine in detail the performance literature for percussion, and will be directed toward music from all historical periods. It will examine the solo, ensemble and relevant ochestral literature for percussion, and will take into account literature on percussion in world music. The course is for DMA in Performance students.
Class Schedule: Wednesdays 12-2pm
January 2008 - April 2008
Salary: $6,275.00

Qualifications:
Knowledge of the full range of percussion literature; performing experience in solo, ensemble, orchestral and world music percussion; experience in teaching graduate seminars. Ph.D. is required.
Duties:
Define course objectives and materials; provide clear guidelines on course requirements and regulations; teach classes as scheduled; administer and evaluate student assignments; prepare and submit final grade in accordance with policy. Maintain reasonable hours of student consultation outside scheduled class hours.
