Title and number of the course: GGR 201 H1S - Geomorphology
Course description: An introduction to the principles of geomorphology; earth materials; major features of crustal morphology; land-forming processes of water, wind, waves and ice; human impact on earth surface processes. One hour laboratory session approximately every other week; a local field trip.
Estimate of course enrolment: 70
Estimate of TA support: 140
Class Schedule: Tuesday, 6:00-8:00pm
Sessional dates of appointment: January 1 - *April 30, 2008
*Please note that exams will be held in April/May and the position includes the completion of any course grading not finished by April 30, 2008.
Salary: Half Course: Sessional Lecturer (SL) I = $6,275, and SL II = $6,775
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Geography; expert knowledge of geomorphology; prefer previous teaching experience.
Brief description of duties: Lecturing, lab, assignment, test, and exam preparation; grading.

Please note that graduate students who are currently registered in a PhD program at the University of Toronto are members of CUPE 3902 Unit 1 and are not eligible to apply for this position.
