2. Course Description: An introduction to the basic elements of the Japanese language, and the development of comprehension, speaking, reading and writing skills. Along with the hiragana and katakana systems of writing, approximately 200 kanji are introduced as well. Open only to students with no prior background in Japanese.
3. Estimate of the course enrolment: 220
