  1. Job Description: CTL 1110H: The Holistic Curriculum
  2. Course Description: This course will focus on curriculum that facilitates personal growth and social change. Various programs and techniques that reflect a holistic orientation will be analysed: for example, Waldorf eduction, social action programs, and transpersonal techniques such as visualization and the use of imagery in the classroom. The philosophical, psychological, and social context of the holistic curriculum will also be examined.
  3. Estimated Course Enrolment: 20-25
  4. TA support: None
  5. Class Schedule: Monday, 5:30 to 8:30 from September to December 2007
  6. Sessional Dates of Appointment: September 1 to December 31, 2007
  7. Salary: Base rate for half course of $6,275.00 (inclusive of vacation pay)
  8. Qualifications: Candidates must have a doctorate in relevant discipline and some evidence of published scholarship demonstrating expertise in the area of education and curriculum studies. Preference will be given to individuals with prior graduate teaching experience in this area.
  9. Duties: Prepare, organize, and teach this half-course graduate seminar; be available to students seeking assistance between classes; evaluate and provide students with feedback on their work.
