An examination of cross-cultural variations and social-historical changes in the organization of family life, followed by a critical look at the key activities in family life today. Emphasis is on gender relations.

This course will introduce students to development and issues related to Canadian health care policy. The course will examine:
- basic policy making process;
- policy making process in Canadian context;
- development of Canadian health care policy; and
- current health care reform debates and issues.
