This Working Group comes out of concerns about equity across all three campuses and several concerns that members of our Local have raised. Racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, faithism, transphobia, age-ism, ableism and other forms of structural and individual forms of inequity all have an impact on the quality of education. 

This first meeting will define the group’s goals over the next few months in preparation for a report to our General Members Meeting in the fall. The report will include recommendations for improving the Local’s equity practices.

We are looking for Unit 1, 2 and 3 members from UTM, UTSC and St. George campuses who can provide insights, analysis and commitment to equity across the University. Whether you have been very involved in the Local, or are new to CUPE 3902, please do let us know that you are interested in participating and/or have some insights to share with us about your experience at the University of Toronto.
