Employment Insurance
Most Sessional Lecturers or Course Instructors who have taught at least 1.5 courses - or 3 half courses - in the 52 weeks before application are eligible for EI. Some Teaching Assistants, Writing Instructors, and other hourly-paid employees who have a lot of insurable hours, or who have taught a course or two, may also qualify. Request your Record of Employment (ROE) from the UofT Human Resources office at 215 Huron - if your teaching ends this term, you can request your ROE as of April 24.
