Financial Assistance Fund
The deadline to apply for the 2007-2008 Financial Assistance Fund has now passed. Notice to all applicants, successful or unsuccessful, will be mailed as of the middle of March 2008; and cheques for those eligible will be distributed in April 2008.
Because not all members of CUPE 3902 are covered by the "funded cohort", we negotiated for a Financial Assistance Fund of $225,000 administered by the Union.
If you are an undergraduate student member or a graduate student member NOT in the funded cohort, with an appointment of at least 30 hours, you are eligible to apply to the fund. The guaranteed funding package for graduate students covers the first four years of a PhD, and either the final year of a Master's programme or the fifth year of a PhD. If you have any doubt about whether or not you're in the "funded cohort," please consult your Department. In order to receive funding, you must JOIN THE UNION and APPLY.
